Between Cooking, Notifications & Life… I Built This.

A busy home cooking scene representing real-life multitasking and the idea of “cooking” something behind the scenes — building practical cybersecurity tools for everyday use.

I am a builder of things. It’s something I have come to accept about myself. I genuinely enjoy creating, shaping ideas into something real, something people can interact with, something that solves a problem in a practical way. I can build all day and not even feel it. For me, it is not just about the outcome, it is about the process — seeing a gap, thinking through it, and bringing something to life that makes sense in the real world.

Over the past few weeks, that instinct kicked in again. Not because I was trying to launch something new for the sake of it, but because a pattern kept showing up. In conversations, in workshops, and in everyday interactions, the same thing kept coming up — people want to be safe online, but they do not always know how to navigate it in the middle of real life.

At TheCyberMamushka, one belief has always guided everything I do: cyber safety begins at home. But if that is true, then awareness alone is not enough. Telling people to “be careful” is not a strategy. We have to give people something they can actually use. Something simple, something practical, something that fits into the flow of their day without requiring them to become cybersecurity experts.

So I built something.

Not just a collection of tools, but a space designed around real-life moments. The kind of moments where you pause for a second and wonder, “Is this okay?” or “Am I doing the right thing here?” Those small moments are where most decisions are made, and if we get those right, everything else starts to fall into place.

At the heart of the hub are six tools, each designed to meet you exactly where you are.

The Cyber Safety Challenge is where many people will start, and in many ways, it is where this journey began. We have been live with the challenge for a few weeks now, and the reception has been nothing short of amazing. Every week, more people are showing up, testing themselves, sharing their scores, and even competing for a spot on the leaderboard. What has stood out the most is not just the participation, but the excitement around learning. And I am glad to say, we are only going stronger from here. It has proven that when cybersecurity is made engaging and relatable, people lean in.

The Household Cyber Safety Score shifts the focus from knowledge to reality. It answers a question many people quietly carry: “Are we actually safe at home?” Instead of assumptions, it gives a clear, simple picture of where you stand. Not in technical scores or complex metrics, but in a way that reflects how your household really uses technology. It becomes a starting point, a conversation starter, and for many, a wake-up call that is both gentle and actionable.

Then comes the Scam Checker, which might be one of the most immediately practical tools in the entire hub. This is for that exact moment when something does not sit right. A message, a link, a request that feels urgent. Instead of guessing or forwarding it to a friend for a second opinion, you now have a place to check instantly. It removes the pressure of making a quick decision and replaces it with something far more powerful — clarity.

For families, the Cyber Smart Kids Challenge brings children into the conversation in a way that feels natural. It is not about lecturing them or restricting them, but about giving them something they can engage with directly. The lessons are simple, the experience is interactive, and most importantly, it creates a shared space where learning about online safety becomes something families can do together rather than something imposed from the outside.

The hub also recognizes something we often ignore — that being online all the time affects how we think, how we feel, and how we behave. Pumua, which simply means “breathe,” is your digital wellness companion. It invites you to step away from the noise, to pause, and to reconnect with yourself. It is a quiet reminder that safety is not just about avoiding threats, but also about maintaining balance in a world that rarely slows down.

And then there is Mamushka Pause, which complements this in the simplest but most powerful way. It creates small reset moments in the middle of a busy digital day. Not long sessions, not complicated steps, just intentional pauses that help you regain control. Because sometimes the safest thing you can do is stop, breathe, and reset before moving forward.

Together, these tools do something important. They move cybersecurity away from being something distant and technical, and bring it into the flow of everyday life. Whether you are testing yourself, checking something suspicious, guiding your child, or simply taking a moment to reset, the hub meets you exactly where you are.

What has stood out to me the most since putting this out into the world is the kind of feedback it has received. Not technical critiques or deep cybersecurity debates, but real, human responses. People are telling me it is easy to use. They are saying they can share it with their families. They are admitting that before this, they did not even know where to start. And for me, that is the biggest validation. Because the goal was never to impress. The goal was to connect, to simplify, and to make cybersecurity feel like something you can actually approach without hesitation.

I did not build this as a one-time project. I built it as something that can grow, something that can quietly become part of how households interact with technology. I see it becoming a space people return to before clicking on something that feels off, a place parents can use to start conversations with their children, and a starting point for anyone who feels overwhelmed by how fast everything is moving online. If we can influence what happens at home, then we influence the wider community in a way that is both practical and sustainable.

This is also, very intentionally, a way of giving back. Cybersecurity knowledge should not feel locked behind technical language or reserved for a specific group of people. It should be accessible, relatable, and usable. This hub is my way of opening that door a little wider and saying that you do not have to figure this out alone. There is a place to start, and it is designed with you in mind.

So if you find yourself in one of those moments — unsure, curious, or just wanting to do better — there is now a place you can go.

Because at the end of the day, cyber safety begins at home.

And now, there is a space built to support exactly that.
